Vatican names John Mundell, local environmental champion, as Director of Laudato Si’ Action Platform.

    posted on September 4, 2022

This July, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development announced ArchIndy Creation Care Commission member John Mundell as the new Director of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, a campaign to inspire and equip Catholics to live out the Church’s Social Teaching as laid out by Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.

John is a founding member of the Archdiocese’s Creation Care Commission in 2015 and has a life long career in environmental engineering and consulting in the Indianapolis area and beyond. Recently the Catholic Climate Covenant published an in-depth interview with John about the Church’s goals and hopes for the Platform.

Read the interview or learn more about starting (or continuing) your journey with the Laudato Si’ Action Platform.
