    Season of Creation

    2021 Theme
“A home for all? Renewing the Oikos of God”

JUMP TO: Trees | Prayer & Liturgy | Toolkit | Events | Past Years

    September 1 – October 4, 2021

From September 1 (World Day of Prayer for Creation) to October 4 (Feast of St. Francis) each year, the Christian community celebrates the Season of Creation by praying and acting together to protect our common home. The season is celebrated by tens of thousands of Christians around the world annually (https://seasonofcreation.org) with encouragement from leaders of other faith traditions.

The 2021 worldwide theme is “A home for all? Renewing the Oikos of God”. By focusing on a home for all and on the concept of oikos, we lift up the integral nature of the many relationships that hold the web of life together.
