September 1 – October 4, 2020
From September 1 (World Day of Prayer for Creation) to October 4 (Feast of St. Francis) each year, the Christian community celebrates the Season of Creation by praying and acting together to protect our common home. The season is celebrated by tens of thousands of Christians around the world annually (https://seasonofcreation.org) with encouragement from leaders of other faith traditions.
The 2020 worldwide theme is “Jubilee for the Earth.” In the long Christian tradition of jubilee as a time of restoration, we’re repairing our relationships with each other and all creation to give a lasting rest to the earth. The Season of Creation organizers invite you to register your participation with the 2.2 billion Christians around the world.
Join us on a journey of prayer, action, and ecological conversion!
