How the people of St. Gabriel are planting 150 trees this Season of Creation

Kudos to Father Michael O’Mara and the St. Gabriel’s parishioners in Indianapolis, IN who are planting 150 trees this Season of Creation!

In addition to having envelopes in the pews for people to make a “tree donation” and sign up for their tree, Father Michael preached a homily about the Season of Creation.

One of the concepts he used is “trees don’t need us, but we need them to live.” Father Michael also talked about how Indiana was once all trees, but that we burned them down, just like the amazon rain forest to make crop land, build factories, and houses, etc. and that we have a responsibility to restore what we have taken.
